Public Transport Fares in Istanbul for 2022

The Transport Coordination Center under the administration of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IBB) declared that in 2022 fares of Istanbul’s public transportation will increase by 36%.

The increase includes prices of the Istanbulkart, Taxis, and minibusses (Dolmush) in compliance with the increase in fuel and electricity costs, in addition to the minimum wage.

The New Fares of Istanbul’s Public Transportations are:

Metrobus:

Regular cards: from 5.98 TL to 8.13 TL (for the entire line).

Student cards: from 1.95 TL to 2.66 TL.

Cards for the elderly and teachers: from 3.28 TL to 4.44 TL.

Istanbul Metro:

Regular cards: from 4.5 TL to 5.48 TL.

Student cards: from 1.96 TL to 2.66 TL.

Cards for the elderly and teachers: from 2.88 TL to 3.91 TL.

Monthly Subscriptions:

Blue card: From 316 TL to 430 TL.

Student card: From 57 TL to 78 TL.

Cards for the elderly and teachers: from 196 TL to 266 TL.

Minibusses (dolmush):

Short distances: from 2.75 TL to 3.75 TL.

Long distances: from 4.00 TL to 5.5 TL.

Student fare: From 1.75 TL to 2.50 TL.

Taxis:

The starting price of the taximeter increased from 5.55 TL to 7 TL, and the short distance fee no matter how short it is rose from 14.5 TL to 20 TL.
