Turkish-Algerian cooperation in the field of economy, energy

On Wednesday 9-11-2022 there was a meeting in the capital Algiers .

A press conference was followed by the Turkish Minister (Fatih Donmaz) and the Algerian Minister (Mehmet Arkab).

The conference included research on the relations between the two countries in the field of energy, economy and mining.

At the conference, Donmaz stressed that economic, commercial, political and cultural cooperation between Turkey and Algeria is very important.

There is a will between the Turkish government, the Algerian government and businessmen in the two countries to develop these relations.

He expects trade between Turkey and Algeria to reach $5 billion by the end of 2022.

There are instructions from the Turkish president and the Algerian president to raise the volume of trade to $ 10 billion.

Algerian Energy Minister Mohamed Arkab confirmed that he is discussing with the Turkish minister the development of all the projects identified in the Joint Economic Committee.

There is also research of projects in the field of petroleum, petroleum products and mining.

Arkab stressed that Turkish companies have studied opportunities to make joint investments in the hydrocarbon sector with Sonatrach.
