Various courses: English, Russian, German for taxis in Turkish Antalya

Antalya, the Turkish capital of tourism, has offered foreign language courses to more than 5,000 taxi drivers, in order to support the tourism field.

From January to August 2022. Antalya has hosted more than 9 million tourists. This has been since the removal of obstacles related to the Coronavirus. Hotel occupancy rate has reached 90%

Because of the problems that occurred in the tourist capital, the state of Antalya decided to hold courses to teach foreign languages to taxi drivers who work in areas with tourist activity.

Some of the most important languages to be taught are: English, Russian and German.

The necessity of courses for drivers of tourist areas:

The President of Antalya, Arsen Yazici, said that Antalya has helped increase Turkish tourism. And that the public and private section work hard to take care of the comfort of visitors to Antalya. The increase in the number of tourists is indicative of the efforts made to support the tourism field.

He explained that foreign tourists have filed many complaints because of the difficulty of communicating with taxi drivers. Antalya has developed quick solutions to alleviate this problem.

The courses will be for all taxi drivers in Antalya, the first of which is the city center of Antalya, the districts of Kemer, Srik, Manaugat and Alanya."

Foreign language courses will be in December 2022 and January 2023, a period when the number of foreign tourists in Antalya is declining."

The director of the Motorists Chamber said: "We are working with the state of Antalya to alleviate this complaint.

And that tourism activity is increasing every year in Antalya and this project will be more useful to alleviate problems between tourists and taxi drivers
