Western Black Sea Train, a tourist journey between history and nature

The Western Black Sea train made its first trip last year, allowing its passengers to travel through history and witness stunning views of the charming nature.

Safranbolu, which overlooks the Black Sea in the north of Turkey, attracts tourists from all over the world. The city is famous for its distinctive Ottoman houses such as palaces, inns, Turkish baths, mosques, fountains, and bridges built during the past three centuries.

Safranbolu said; the city's municipality has been making efforts for years to preserve historical and cultural buildings. Safranbolu also includes 1,125 buildings out of Turkey's 50,000 cultural and natural assets.

Via the "West Black Sea" train, visitors from Karabuk can travel through the largest forests, natural parks, waterfalls, lakes, plateaus, valleys, and camping areas in Turkey. And after a short break in Karabuk, visitors continue their journey to Safranbolu, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

In recent years, the head of the Safranbolu Tourist Facilities Operators Association, Shabnam Arkord, says that the region has managed to attract tourists' interest in the past years, especially in the spring and summer. Adding that the trips launched by the "West Black Sea" train recently provided tourists with an opportunity to visit the area during the winter.

The head of the association confirmed that the train trips west of the Black Sea provided tourists with an opportunity to increase the length of stay in Saframbolo and diversify the tourist destinations. And they had seen the visitors' happiness, and this constituted hope for them to attract large numbers of tourists to the region during the coming period.

The tour guide, "Yasmin Gungor" who led the tour group from Izmir to Saframbolo, says that she has accompanied various tourist groups to the region in the past years. But the trips by train west of the Black Sea have always gained special attention.

Indicate that the Western Black Sea train journeys pass through the vast forests of the Black Sea region and over a group of rivers such as the Filius River, in addition to the pulpy valleys such as Wadi Hurma, which allows visitors to spend a distinctive and pleasant tour.
